Hellical Method basically employs the motion of electrons in electric and magnetic fields. The electronics emitted by the cathode are accelerated, deflected by alterating potential to give a line on the fluorescent screen and focused by the magnetic field due to solenoid. The method also explains the activation of magnetic lenses.
Apparatus Required
- A Cathode Ray Tube mounted on two plastic Rings.
- Solenoid in the interior of which Cathode Ray Tube is placed.
- A Power Supply which consists of :
Power Supply to operate the Cathode Ray Tube
To provide A.C. Voltage for deflecting plates.
- Low Voltage D.C. Supply for Solenoid.
